For a pure homemade DIY Kitchen Cleanser add 10 Drops of Oregano Essential Oil to 2 Cups of water and 2 tablespoons of white vinegar and spray on kitchen tops and kitchen surfaces. To add fragrance or improve the washing and germ killing power of your dish Washing soap, Add 10 drops of Oregano Oil and shake well. Oregano Oil can also be used to make an effective floor cleaner. Combine ¼ cup of white vinegar with 10 drops Lemon Essential Oil and 4 drops of Oregano Oil and add to a bucket of water.
Oregano essential oil can help clear skin blemishes and minimize the appearance of acne. Dilute Oregano oil with a carrier oil of your choice like Jojoba, Coconut, Sweet Almond or Grapeseed. Use 2 parts carrier oil to 1 part Oregano Oil e.g. 2⁄3 Jojoba oil to 1⁄3 Oregano Oil. Mix well and pour in a cotton ball and apply. It is always advisable to try it on a small portion of your skin to see the reaction. Oregano can also be used to eliminate dandruff; add 4 – 5 Drops of Oregano Oil to a tablespoon of shampoo. Apply in your hair and leave for ten minutes and then wash off. Oregano can also be used as a bug and insect repellent. Oregano is highly effective in repelling mosquitoes and bed bugs.
